I know this may not pertain to this tribe exactly- but here goes:
I've not very intune with any psychic abilities I may have.. But, I have dreams a lot in which I will have "Dejavue" the next day.
For example, Last night I had a very detailed dream about a horse. I remember the color of the horse, the horses name, etc...
Today I was looking at news online and read an interesting article about a horse- then I remembered my dream. It was the same horse from my dream...
Another time I had a dream about this amazingly beautiful tree.. The next morning I was driving a new route to work, and noticed this awesome tree. It was the same tree from my dream the night before..
This happens quite often- and although the forshadows in my dream are usually meaningless- I'm wondering if more "un-meaningless" things go on in my dreams that i'm just not remembering.
Does this happen to anyone else, and have any thoughts?

Re: Dreams
Sun, August 17, 2008 - 7:53 PMIt reminds me of the "Brady Bunch" episode where Greg get's done in by the 'evil' Tiki Idol, and Bobby and Pete get stuck in a cave with Vincet Price!

Re: Dreams
Mon, August 18, 2008 - 8:56 PMActually.., I reference the 'Brady Bunch' with full sobriety and total command of my faculties. In the episode I've referred to, Bobby and Peter leave a trail of pop corn, so they'll be able to find their way outta the maze that is the cave. And then they run inti V.P. and some wierd interaction occurs that turns out to be a big misunderstanding and it's all cleared up in the end.
The Deja vu is alot like the pop corn trail, in that it serves to remind you, of an aspect of awareness that, well, you somehow lost track of. The mind, and in this case the memory of the mind, is alot like a cave. You go into dream and do all kinds of living, but all that get's to come out into consciousness, is what ever we are able to purposely (intentionally) retain. I'm not super adept at dreaming yet, but I'm aware now that we have another level that we live in all the time, but aren't fully aware of. Here - think about this. Ever have a dream where all of a sudden you're 'awake' in your dream thinking, 'oh wow! I'm totally dreaming! It seems so real!'. That's the opposite of deja vu. It's when your 'higher' brain is asleep and dreaming of you. It's heady stuff, but if you want to learn more I recommend learning abit about our energy centers. Just as a tree has a full existence as it reaches for the sky, it also has a full existence as it reaches for the earth. We exist in multiple dimensions. Just ask Carl Jung. He got alot of this work done. Enjoy the hum!

Re: Dreams
Fri, August 22, 2008 - 3:16 PMIt happens alot to me,and rarely all that dramatic.Just extremely unsettling at times. And what's frustrating is of course I never know what or when, never a feeling when I wake up,just a typical dream. That day (or in one case several years later)that scene, conversation, person, etc reoccurs and it sends chills down my spine.I've always had it since I was a kid.

Re: Dreams
Fri, November 14, 2008 - 10:33 PMSometimes your eyes will pick up things that you don't remember seeing, and dreams are often a mash-up of everyday happenings (though I will admit sometimes they really are something much more). It's possible that you had seen the tree several times before, but never thought about it - and one day you happened to dream about it, and noticed it. The horse, could have been something you heard about that day or saw on the news, not paying any mind - then after your dream you saw it in the paper.
Short & long term memory is a fascinating thing, and although there hasn't been any conclusive information found on Deja vu, it makes sense that sometimes it's your brain playing tricks on you. I have several times dreamed of buildings or places & seen them days, weeks, or months later & been amazed. But after putting it together, most of the time I have obviously seen these things & not remembered.
Just throwing that out there, not suggesting that there is no significance to what you're experiencing & I'm certainly not a close-minded skeptic - I just want to share what I know & offer a possible explanation for some of these experiences. -

Tue, May 19, 2009 - 9:58 PMThis happens to me occasionally... I have heard, read a lot that deja vu basically means that your on track with your life plan, or whatever. They are like little reminders that all of this is supposed to happen....

Re: Dreams
Mon, September 28, 2009 - 12:46 PMBack when I was 9 yrs old I had my first complete dream deja vu experience. I had went to spend the night with a friend and the whole day/night and next day I spent it tell her what was gonna happen before it did. That night was an eye opener for me as not only did I "know" and could express what was about to happen but many of my other abilities came to light.
Since then I have had them hundreds of times and though at times some of my dreams I can't understand when I awake, eventually the meaning will come. Though some dreams are just that.. dreams ^_^
